How large unto the tiny fly |

A rosebud like a feather bed, |
小東西大得不得了!—— |
Its prickle like a spear; |

A dewdrop like a looking-glass, |

A hair like golden wire; |
一滴露像面穿衣鏡, |
The smallest grain of mustard-seed |
一根頭發(fā)像根金線; |
As fierce as coals of fire; |
小小一顆芥菜種子, |
A loaf of bread, a lofty hill; |
像燃燒的煤塊一般; |
A wasp , a cruel leopard; |
一塊面包像座高山; |
And specks of salt as bright to see |
一只黃蜂像頭兇豹; |
As lambkins to a shepherd. |
看見幾粒閃光的鹽, |
