How sweet is the Shepherd's sweet lot,	牧童的運氣多么美好，
From the morn to the evening he strays	從早到晚他四處來去：
He shall follow his sheep all the day,	他整天隨著羊群轉悠，
And his tongue shall be filled with praise.	他滿口說著贊美的話語。
For he hears the lambs' innocent calls	他聽見羊羔天真的叫喚，
And he hears the ewes' tender reply,	他聽見母羊親切的回應，
He is watchful while they are in peace,	他守護著，羊群就平安無事，
For they know when their Shepherd is nigh	羊群知道牧童離它們很近。
