594　save和rescue

① save表示“搶救，救助，挽救”，普通用詞，指幫助人或事物脫離險境或使之從不利局面中解脫出來。

The firemen saved the man from falling off the building. 消防隊員救助那名男子，使其免于墜樓。

He saved the child from the fire. 他從大火中救出了那個孩子。

She has saved many people's lives. 她曾經(jīng)挽救了許多人的生命。

The old man was saved by a soldier. 那位老人是被一位士兵救的。

② save表示“節(jié)省，節(jié)約”。

He has saved a lot of money. 他已省下了許多錢。

We can save much time in this way. 這樣我們可以省很多時間。

It will save you a lot of trouble. 這將給你省去很多麻煩。（跟雙賓語）

③ rescue意為“營救，解救”，強調(diào)從迫切的危險或禍患中救助出來。

She was rescued from a burning building. 她被人從著火的大樓里救了出來。

A lifeboat was sent out to rescue the sailors from the sinking ship. 一艘救生艇被派去營救沉船上的水手。
