老外說"You do the math"才不是“讓你做數(shù)學(xué)題”！

如果有老外對(duì)你說"You do the math"，你找了半天也沒找到讓你做啥數(shù)學(xué)題，結(jié)果一臉懵，這是啥意思啊?

其實(shí)"You do the math"真正的意思是“你自己算算”。當(dāng)然，這種情況會(huì)出現(xiàn)在和數(shù)學(xué)相關(guān)的數(shù)字的計(jì)算。

The first set of words were going to talk about are operations.

The most common operations are addition, subtraction,

multiplication and division, and those are what we ll talk about today.

Addition is when you add two numbers together. This is called a plus sign. So for example, 4 plus 5 equals 9 or if I have 4 and add 5 I get 9.

Subtraction is when you subtract one number from another number. This is called a minus sign. So for example 6 minus 4 equals 2 or if I have 6 and take away 4 I get 2.

減法就是用一個(gè)數(shù)減去另一個(gè)數(shù)。這叫做減號(hào)。例如，6 - 4 = 2，如果我有6，拿走4，得到2。

Multiplication is when you multiply one number by another number. For example 4 times 3 equals 12 or

if I multiply 4 by 3 I get 12.

Division is when you divide one number by another

number. For example 12 divided by 2 equals 6 or if I divide 12 by 2 I get 6.
