that'll teach sb
used to say that a person should avoid doing something bad in the future thanks to the experience of the effects of their actions
You can say this after something bad has happened to someone who should have been more careful, or should have known better.
A: Oh no! Someone's stolen my phone!
B: That'll teach you! I told you not to leave it on the table, didn't I?
He was late again so he didn't get the bonus. That'll teach him.
其他表達:use your head
use your head
used to tell someone in a slightly angry way to think more carefully about what they are doing
We'll have to use our heads if we're going to have any hope of solving this supply issue.
