Zero hour這個慣用語始于1917年一次大戰(zhàn)期間，用來表示發(fā)動某一項軍事行動的時刻。負(fù)責(zé)下令的軍官會看著手表上的秒針倒數(shù)計時，一旦秒針走到零點，就會下達(dá)出動指令。后來zero hour跳脫了軍事用語的局限，泛指生活中各種情況里的“關(guān)鍵、決定性時刻”。
