A study of the University of Cambridge revealed that the age of true puberty is not complete at the age of 18, the human brain reaches real maturity only in the third decade of age to leave childhood and enter the adult world.

劍橋大學的一項研究表明，人類在18歲時并不能結(jié)束青春期，人類大腦只有經(jīng)過三十年才能真正成熟，離開童年并進入成人世界。

Even though the law deems a person an adult when they turn 18, the brain doesn't mature until 30 at the earliest.

Professor Peter Jones, who teaches at Cambridge, told the BBC, What we're really saying is that to have a definition of when you move from childhood to adulthood looks increasingly absurd It's a much more nuanced transition that takes place over three decades.
