小編最近在刷公開課(英文版)，突然發(fā)現(xiàn)講課的老師很喜歡用“take home”，比如講完一個(gè)觀點(diǎn)之后，她就會(huì)說一句“You should take it home.”

大家都知道take home基本的意思就是“帶回家”，

比如朋友送你小禮物了，

他們會(huì)告訴你

“Take these souvenirs home with you.

(把這些紀(jì)念品帶回家。)”

但是這里把“觀點(diǎn)帶回家”是不是有些奇怪呢?

小編查了下詞典，

發(fā)現(xiàn)take home有這樣的意思：

to take a thought, idea, or concept away from a meeting or conference

吸收/記住會(huì)議上的想法、觀點(diǎn)等。

這里老師想表達(dá)的其實(shí)是“記住這一點(diǎn)。”

關(guān)于這個(gè)表達(dá)咱們再來舉個(gè)例子：

Take this idea home with you—diversify your investments.

記住這一點(diǎn)，投資要多元化。

1. 這個(gè)表達(dá)其實(shí)還有一個(gè)意思：

掙錢，即earn as a salary or wage.

舉個(gè)例子：

How much does your wife take home after taxes and other deductions?

扣除稅收和其他費(fèi)用后，你的妻子每月掙多少錢?
