1. Boy: Can I buy you a drink?

我可以為你買一杯飲料嗎?

Girl: Actually I'd rather have the money.

不必，我寧愿要你買飲料的錢。
 

2. Boy: Can I have your name?

我能請教你的名字嗎?

Girl: Why? Don't you already have one?

為什么?你不是已經(jīng)有名字嗎?

故意把上句中的have當(dāng)作“有”來理解。

3. Boy: I'm a photographer. I've been looking for a face like yours.

我是攝影師。我一直在尋找一張像你這樣的臉。

Girl: I'm a plastic surgeon. I've been looking for a face like yours.

我是整形外科醫(yī)生。我也一直在尋找一張像你這樣的臉。
 

4. Boy: Is this seat empty?

這個座位沒人吧?

Girl: Yes and this one will be if you sit down.

是的，如果你坐下，我這個座位就會是空的。

5. Boy: Haven't I seen you some place before?

我好象以前在什么地方見過你?

Girl: Yes. That's why I don't go there anymore.

是的。這就是我不再去那個地方的原因。
 

6. Boy: Will you go out with me this Saturday?

這個星期六你想跟我出去嗎?

Girl: Sorry. I'm having a headache this weekend.

Girl: Why? Are you leaving?

是嗎?你是說你要離開?
 

8. Boy: May I hold your hand?

我能牽著你的手嗎?

Girl: No thanks it isn't heavy.

能告訴我你的電話號碼嗎?

Girl: It's in the phone book.
