英語(yǔ)中成雙入對(duì)的詞，真不少！

　　首先要注意的是， 成對(duì)詞中前后的兩個(gè)單詞不能調(diào)換順序，比如 'bride and groom'，新娘新郎。英文中不會(huì)換個(gè)順序說(shuō) ‘'groom and bride'’。

　　1)life and death 解釋某件事并沒(méi)有那么重要和嚴(yán)重，其結(jié)果并不會(huì)影響你的生死：

　　“I understand that you are worried about not handing in your assignment on time, but please don't worry too much, it's not a matter of life and death.”

　　我明白你因未能準(zhǔn)時(shí)交作業(yè)而擔(dān)心，但別太惴惴不安了，這并不是什么關(guān)乎生死的大事。

　　2)Trial and error 用不同方法不斷試驗(yàn)直到找到最成功的方法：

　　“Because he was new to the city, finding the shortest route to work was a matter of trial and error.”

　　因?yàn)閯偟竭@座城市，所以他不斷嘗試找到最短的上班路線(xiàn)。

　　3)Lock and key 妥善保管：

　　“I love my new smartphone so much, I keep it under lock and key when I am asleep."

　　我很愛(ài)我的新智能手機(jī)，睡覺(jué)時(shí)將它保管得妥妥的。

　　4)heart and soul 全心全意

　　We should serve the people heart and soul.

　　我們應(yīng)該全心全意地為人民服務(wù)。

　　5)safe and sound 安然無(wú)恙

　　The missing child came back safe and sound.

　　那個(gè)失蹤地孩子安然無(wú)恙地回來(lái)了。

　　6)bag and baggage 連同行李的

　　They quarreled last night and this morning she left, bag and baggage.

　　昨夜他們吵架了，今天早晨她收拾起自己的東西就走了。

　　7)black and blue 遍體鱗傷，青一塊紫一塊

　　After the fight, he was black and blue all over.

　　搏斗結(jié)束后，他遍體鱗傷。

　　1. 頭韻：押頭的成對(duì)詞不僅起到加強(qiáng)形容的作用，而且讀起來(lái)丁當(dāng)悅耳，富有詩(shī)意。
