Well, I'm going to talk a little bit about why I'm vegetarian. Actually, I became vegetarian when I was 8 years old. We did a project at school and I found out that animals are actually killed for us to eat and as an 8 year-old I thought that was rather immoral, so I went home and I told my parents that I didn't want to eat meat anymore so now I eat everything really except for meat and fish and I don't eat things with animals fats in either. I think really I'm a vegetarian now because it's a habit and if I were to eat meat, I think I would be quite ill. My favorite food is probably tofu although I like broccoli and I like chocolate as well.

我要簡(jiǎn)單談一下我為什么會(huì)成為素食主義者。實(shí)際上，我是在8歲時(shí)成為素食主義者的。當(dāng)時(shí)學(xué)校有個(gè)項(xiàng)目，我發(fā)現(xiàn)動(dòng)物實(shí)際上是供我們食用才被殺的，當(dāng)時(shí)8歲的我認(rèn)為那太不道德了，所以我回家告訴我父母我再也不要吃肉了，所以現(xiàn)在我不吃魚(yú)和肉，其他的東西都會(huì)吃，當(dāng)然我也不吃動(dòng)物脂肪。我認(rèn)為現(xiàn)在的我是實(shí)實(shí)在在的素食主義者，因?yàn)檫@已經(jīng)成為一種習(xí)慣，而且如果我吃肉的話，我就會(huì)生病。我最喜歡的食物是豆腐，我也喜歡綠菜花和巧克力。

Sometimes because I like traveling, I go to places and it's really difficult for vegetarians because they don't really have anything for vegetarians to eat, so sometimes I just have like, a bowl of rice, or an omelet, or something like that, but when I'm at home, I like to cook for myself, and I like to cook nice vegetarian dishes, and stews and things like that. My parents didn't mind me becoming a vegetarian, and I think they were really good about it because I don't know many people, who when their child said they wanted to be a vegetarian would accept that, so I was really grateful to my parents for being so nice and understanding about it.

我喜歡旅行，我喜歡去各種地方，這對(duì)素食主義者來(lái)說(shuō)很難，因?yàn)樗麄儾粫?huì)提供素食主義者的食物，有時(shí)我只吃一碗米飯或是一個(gè)煎蛋卷，只能吃這樣的東西，不過(guò)我在家的時(shí)候，我喜歡自己做飯吃，我喜歡烹飪美味的素食菜肴，比如燉菜之類的食物。我父母不介意我成為素食主義者，我認(rèn)為他們真的很好，我不清楚其他人聽(tīng)到孩子說(shuō)想成為素食主義者時(shí)會(huì)不會(huì)接受，但是我很感激我的父母能理解我，并接受這一點(diǎn)。
