實(shí)戰(zhàn)口語(yǔ)情景對(duì)話：親愛(ài)的老爸 Dear Old Dad

Todd: OK, Keri, I've heard you talk about your father quite a bit. He sounds like a very interesting man. Can you talk a little bit about him? 克麗，聽(tīng)說(shuō)你經(jīng)常談?wù)撈鹉愀赣H。他似乎是個(gè)有趣的人。你能跟我們講講他嗎?

Kerri: Sure. My dad's name is Robert and he's an interesting guy. He's retired now and lives in Oregon and in his free time he's building an airplane (wow!) Yeah! 好的。我爸爸的名字叫羅伯特，他是個(gè)有趣的人。他現(xiàn)在退休了，住在俄勒岡州，他的業(yè)余時(shí)間都在造一架飛機(jī)。

Todd: So can he fly a plane as well? 那他會(huì)開(kāi)飛機(jī)嗎?

Kerri: Yeah, he has a private pilot's license. 是的，他有私人飛機(jī)執(zhí)照。

Todd: Wow, that must be pretty difficult. He's actually making a plane from scratch. 哇，那一定很難考。他正從頭開(kāi)始制造一架飛機(jī)。

Kerri: Yeah. Well, he used to be an airplane mechanic, so quite awhile ago. But yeah, he's doing all the riveting, building all the different parts of the plane and assembling it. 他曾是一名飛機(jī)機(jī)械師，那已經(jīng)是很久以前的事了。他現(xiàn)在正忙著構(gòu)造并制作飛機(jī)的各個(gè)部分，并最終裝配成飛機(jī)。

Todd: Wow! So when do you think he's going to be finished. 哇!那你認(rèn)為他什么時(shí)候能完成?

Kerri: I don't know. I got an e-mail from him recently that said he's just putting the tail section on soon. But I haven't seen a picture of that yet. 我不知道。我最近收到了他的郵件，他馬上要把飛機(jī)尾部安裝上了。但我還沒(méi)有看過(guò)他飛機(jī)的照片。

Todd: Wow. So are you going to go in this plane with your father as soon as it's finished? 哇。那么，這家飛機(jī)完成后，你會(huì)和你的爸爸一起乘坐它嗎?

Kerri: I hope so. He's having someone else test fly it which made me happy when I found out. Although I trust his work cause he's meticulous but it made me feel good that someone else is going to try it for the first time, but yeah, after it's finished, when he's ready to take up passengers. 希望如此。我很高興的是他找了專人測(cè)試這家飛機(jī)。雖然我很相信我父親的技術(shù)，因?yàn)樗恢倍际且唤z不茍地。但如果有其他人先試一下會(huì)更好，當(dāng)然還要等他完成了這架飛機(jī)，準(zhǔn)備好招待乘客后再說(shuō)。

Kerri: Yeah. I think so. 是的。我也這么認(rèn)為。
