The Mexican Foreign Minister, Luis Videgaray, has expressed concern about violations of the human rights of Mexican nationals in the United States, after a meeting with the U.S. Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, and the head of homeland security, John Kelly. Mr. Videgaray said Mexico saw current U.S. proposals on migration as dangerous and a source of worry and irritation.

The Venezuelan government has issued a formal protest against France over the deportation of an athlete who was traveling to a ski training campaign in Swede.
