黑莓公司是加拿大的一家通信公司，主要產(chǎn)品為手提通訊設備黑莓手機。黑莓手機(BlackBerry)是加拿大BlackBerry公司的一家手提無線通信設備品牌，于1999年創(chuàng)立。其特色是支援推動式電子郵件、行動電話、文字短信、互聯(lián)網(wǎng)傳真、網(wǎng)頁瀏覽及其他無線資訊服務。較新的型號亦加入個人數(shù)碼助理功能如電話簿、行事歷等及話音通訊功能。大部分BlackBerry設備附設小型但完整的QWERTY鍵盤，方便用戶輸入文字。

黑莓公司也是滑鐵盧市東北部RIM Park的主要贊助商。公司由Mike Lazaridis與Jim Balsillie共同創(chuàng)立。黑莓公司使用C++和Java技術為其產(chǎn)品研發(fā)自己的軟件。黑莓公司也銷售嵌入式無線通訊零部件。

2014年11月14日早間消息，黑莓周四宣布，已經(jīng)與三星和其他知名科技公司簽訂協(xié)議，進一步拓展其移動設備管理及安全平臺

BlackBerry is one of the world’s leading smart phone and e-mail devices. It currently enjoys a 20% market share of mobile phone sales, but that is under pressure from Apple’s iPhone and similar phones. The BlackBerry is developed by the Canadian IT company RIM (Research In Motion). It started out life in 1999 as a pager but quickly developed into a more communicative tool that exploited Internet capabilities. It soon grew to be the number one choice for business people in the USA. Barack Obama famously was rarely unattached to his device during the 2008 presidential campaign. Today, more than 40 million Blackberries a year are shipped worldwide. Theaddictive nature of the device means it has picked up the nickname “CrackBerry”, a term borrowed from “crack” cocaine.
