By Detective Wilden, only he was Officer Wilden then. 被警探威爾登問話  當時他還是警官威爾登

I wasn't questioned, I was interviewed. 我沒有被問話  找我了解情況而已

You've read it. 就是紙上寫的那些

"Subject reported patient Cavanaugh 病人加瓦諾夫人

"was not in her room at bed check. 在夜間查鋪時并不在她的房間里

"He discovered the roof access door unlocked. 他發(fā)現(xiàn)通往屋頂?shù)拈T沒有鎖

"He went up to the roof and looked over the east ledge 他上了屋頂  向東邊的窗臺張望

and saw a body on the ground below." 看到地上有具尸體

That's what Wilden wrote in his notes. 威爾登就是這樣寫的

Yeah, that's what I told him. 是的  是我跟他說的

Then why in the official report 但為什么在正式報告上寫著

Does it say that she jumped from a window and not the roof? 她是從窗子而不是屋頂跳下去的

It doesn't make any difference, the woman's dead. 這有什么區(qū)別  她已經死了

If it doesn't make any difference, 如果沒什么區(qū)別

then why would Wilden change the facts when he filed the report? 為什么威爾登會在報告中篡改事實

Why would he lie?  Why does anybody lie? 為什么他要說謊   為什么人要說謊

You think somebody paid him off 你認為有人收買了他

to lie about how Toby's mom died? 讓他隱瞞托比媽媽的死因

Didn't you ever wonder how a guy like Wilden 難道你從沒懷疑過像威爾登這樣的人

goes from being patrolman to detective so fast? 怎么能這么快從巡警晉升到警探

You should have told somebody when they filed the report. 當他們出正式報告時  你就應該說出事實
