你相信在你們家某個(gè)角落里有一條通往另一樣世界的通道嗎?可千萬別爬進(jìn)去。

小女孩卡洛琳搬進(jìn)新居后，破舊而又死氣沉沉的環(huán)境讓她感覺無聊透頂。無趣古板的父母，怪異的鄰居，還有一個(gè)討厭的小男孩和他的小黑貓，這樣的生活對(duì)于滿腦子都是奇思妙想的她來說，簡直要了命。

不過事情并不是一直都那么糟，一個(gè)夜晚，她居然在家里的第13個(gè)門后面，發(fā)現(xiàn)一條秘密通道，喜歡刺激冒險(xiǎn)的卡洛琳當(dāng)然不會(huì)放棄一探究竟的機(jī)會(huì)，于是她順著那條通道慢慢的爬了過去。

卡洛琳發(fā)現(xiàn)通道另一邊是一個(gè)和現(xiàn)實(shí)完全相同但又不同的世界，一切現(xiàn)在都似乎在這里得到了復(fù)制，但是自己那些夢(mèng)想?yún)s又在這里得到了實(shí)現(xiàn)。而最讓卡洛琳高興的是，這個(gè)世界里的媽媽對(duì)自己和善可親、百依百順?？墒呛髞?，她發(fā)現(xiàn)了這位“鬼媽媽”準(zhǔn)備給自己換上紐扣眼睛，并把自己永遠(yuǎn)留在這個(gè)“奇妙”的世界?？辶瞻l(fā)現(xiàn)自己大禍臨頭了，她必須想辦法逃出“鬼媽媽”的魔掌。
