在人島，是嗎？唔，從另一方面說來，這倒不壞。這兒有個(gè)從‘人’里來的人，一個(gè)出生于一度是獨(dú)立的‘人’的人，現(xiàn)在卻失去了人的‘人’；吃些什么——靠什么長大的？舉起繞線輪來！僵掉半截的人居然還要尋根問底。舉起來！好。

測程儀給拋下去了。本來是松松的繩圈，立刻就伸直了，成為拖在船尾的一條曳長的繩子，接著，那繞線輪就馬上轉(zhuǎn)動(dòng)起來?？墒?，那只測程儀由于滾滾的波濤而猛烈地忽上忽下，從而產(chǎn)生的一種拖引的阻力，使得這個(gè)拿著繞線輪的老頭兒晃來晃去，顯得十分奇特。

啪噠一聲斷了！那根繃得過緊的繩子扳住了一塊長長的船梢雕飾物；那只拽著的測程儀就此不見了。

我砸掉了象限儀，天雷把羅盤針轉(zhuǎn)了向，這會兒，這個(gè)發(fā)狂的大海又把測程儀的繩子給搞斷了。可是，亞哈什么都能修。拉進(jìn)來，塔希提佬；把繩子卷上來，人島佬。你們聽著，找木匠再做一只測程儀，你把線修修好。當(dāng)心點(diǎn)！
