我是一顆加農(nóng)炮彈么,斯塔布?亞哈說,要你這樣來給我填彈塞?可是,你走你的路吧;我已經(jīng)忘啦。到你下面的夜間墳墓里去吧;到象你這樣的人,鉆進壽衣去睡的地方去,最后拿你來做填料下去,狗東西,到狗窠里去!

Starting at the unforeseen concluding exclamationof the so suddenly scornful old man, Stubb wasspeechless a moment; then said excitedly, I am not used to be spoken to that way, sir; I do butless than half like it, sir.

聽到這個突然變得這般可惡的老人結尾這番出人意料的叫喊聲,斯塔布給嚇得一時說不出話來;過了一會兒,他激動地說,我是聽不慣人家這般對我說話的,先生;份量稍為輕些,倒還馬馬虎虎,先生。

Avast! gritted Ahab between his set teeth, and violently moving away, as if to avoid somepassionate temptation.

住口!亞哈打牙縫里迸出話來,然后,猛地走開去,仿佛避開什么多情的誘惑似的。

No, sir; not yet, said Stubb, emboldened, I will not tamely be called a dog, sir.

不,先生;我還沒有講完,我不會乖乖地讓人家叫我狗東西的,先生。斯塔布鼓起了勇氣說。

Then be called ten times a donkey, and a mule, and an ass, and begone, or I'll clear the worldof thee!

那么,最好管你叫驢子,騾子,小驢子,給我滾,否則,我就要你的命!

As he said this, Ahab advanced upon him with such overbearing terrors in his aspect, thatStubb involuntarily retreated.

亞哈話一說完,就臉色非常可怕地向他沖上去,斯塔布不由得退卻了。

I was never served so before without giving a hard blow for it, muttered Stubb, as he foundhimself descending the cabin-scuttle. It's very queer. Stop, Stubb; somehow, now, I don't wellknow whether to go back and strike him, or-what's that?down here on my knees and pray forhim?
