這些形容詞均含有“普通的，普遍的”之意。
common多用于指物，側(cè)重很常見，不稀奇。
ordinary用于物，指每天發(fā)生，十分平淡無奇;用于人，指無特別之處，很一般。
commonplace強(qiáng)調(diào)缺少新意。
general語氣強(qiáng)于common，側(cè)重大多如此，很少有例外情況。
