An apartment manager is showing an apartment to a potential renter.

公寓經(jīng)理正向一位準(zhǔn)備承租的人介紹公寓。

M: The mailboxes are right down there, and the laundry room with coin-operated washers and dryers is over there.

經(jīng)　理：信箱就在那邊，那兒的洗衣房有投幣式洗衣機(jī)和烘干機(jī)。

R: I see. Well, it's nothing spectacular, but it's pretty cheap for an apartment in a decent neighborhood... O.K., I think I'll take it.

承租人：嗯，那沒(méi)啥特別，不過(guò)公寓在高級(jí)住宅區(qū)里這價(jià)錢(qián)是很便宜……好吧，我要租。

M: All right, do you want to sign a nine-month or a one-year lease?

經(jīng)　理：好啊，您想簽九個(gè)月或一年的房契呢?

R: I think I'll sign a nine-month lease in case I decide not to go to summer school. I can extend it if I want to stay, can't I?

承租人：我想我就簽九個(gè)月的房租以防萬(wàn)一我決定不念暑期學(xué)校。如果我想留下來(lái)時(shí)我可以延長(zhǎng)租期，不是嗎?
