“John! come here. Be quick, and tell me what kind of bird this is.”
“約翰，過來!快點兒，告訴我這是哪種鳥。”
“Do you not know, Henry?”
“你不知道嗎，亨利?”
“Oh, no! what is it?”
“哦，不知道!這是什么鳥?”
“It is a quail.”
“這是只鵪鶉。”
“It is the first quail I have seen. Is it good to eat?”
“這是我第一次見到鵪鶉。它好吃嗎?”
“Yes; but I should not like to kill it.”
“好吃，但我不能殺掉它。”
