Jackson: Hey, how are you? I’m Jackson. It’s nice to meet you.
Jackson:嘿,你好嗎?我是杰克孫,很高興見到你
Karen: I’m Karen. Nice to meet you too.
Karen:我是卡倫,也很高興見到你
Jakcson: I think you’re Jamie’s friend, right?
Jackson:我猜你是杰米的朋友,對(duì)嗎?
Karen: Yeah, Jamie invited me to the party. What about you?

Jackson: Well, I’m Jamie’s classmate. I saw you once with Jamie at a mall I think.

Karen: Actually, I’m Jamie’s cousin. I don’t live here but I visit him quite often.

Jackson: So. Are you enjoying the party?

Penny: Hey, my name is Penny. I’m new to the class.

Suzanne: Oh, hi! I’m Suzanne.
Suzanne:哦,你好,我是蘇珊娜
Penny: I wanted to ask you something.
Penny:我本想問(wèn)你一些事的
Suzanne: Sure. What is it?

Penny: Actually I’m also new in town and I’m not sure about my way back home. Can you help me?

Suzanne: No problem. Where do you live?

Starting a Conversation at the Bookstore

Penny: Hi, I’m looking for a particular novel. Can you help me out?

Karen: Sure. Which one is it?

Penny: Well, I want to buy Love Story by Erich Segal.

Karen: Oh, it’s really a great novel. I read it a long time ago.

Penny: And was it interesting? Did you like it?

Invited : To invite means to make a polite, formal or friendly request to someone to go somewhere or to do something.
Classmate : A classmate is a fellow member of the class, either in a school or college.
Partygoer : A person who attends parties very frequently.
Novel : It is a fictitious prose narrative of book length, typically representing character and action with some degree of realism.
Bookstore : It is a store where books are sold.
Conversations : A conversation is the exchange of informal ideas by spoken words.
Mall : A large building or a series of connected buildings containing a variety of retail stores.
