CNN News:奧巴馬簽禁令限制警察過(guò)度軍事化

First up, President Obama has issued a new executive order. Part of it will make it illegal for U.S. government agencies to provide local police forces with certain kinds of military style equipment. So, this could include some types of camouflage uniforms, certain guns, grenade launchers and bayonets, and some armored vehicles that move on tracks like tanks do. Until now, the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security may have provided this equipment to police.

首先奧巴馬總統(tǒng)頒布了一項(xiàng)新指令。其中這項(xiàng)指令可以使美國(guó)政府機(jī)構(gòu)向當(dāng)?shù)鼐炝α刻峁┠撤N軍事設(shè)備違法。所以這些設(shè)備可能包括某些迷彩服，一些槍支，榴彈發(fā)射器和刺刀，還有一些裝甲車移動(dòng)設(shè)備，例如坦克。直到現(xiàn)在，美國(guó)國(guó)防部和國(guó)土安全部門可能已經(jīng)向警方提供了這些設(shè)備。

The president`s executive order doesn`t need congressional approval but it`s limited. It does not make it illegal for police forces to get military-style gear. They just have to get it from private sellers instead of the federal government.

The president hopes the order will help build trust between citizens and police.
