　　美國是個超級大國，不少人都夢想著能移民到那兒。

　　[誤] The United States is a super country, and many people dream of immigrating into it.

　　[正] The United States is a superpower, and many people dream of immigrating into it.

　　注：super- 是一個前綴，表示“特大的，超級的”等含義，例如：supermarket(超市)，superstar(超級明星)，superman(超人)等。superpower 是“超級大國”的習(xí)慣表達，power 本身也有“強國，大國”的含義，如：an industrial power(工業(yè)強國)，the imperialist powers(帝國主義列強)等。用 super country 表示“超級大國”是中國式的英語。
