This painting is big for a reason

這幅畫(huà)有一個(gè)很了不起的地方

It's called "High Visibility"

它叫"高可見(jiàn)性"

It's about picking up the light and daring to be seen

它的主題是接收光芒 勇于被看到

I worked on this for so long, for weeks and weeks

我在這上面花了很多精力 整周整周都用在上面

like a mad man alone on a scaffolding

像一個(gè)瘋子單獨(dú)站在腳手架上

and when I was finished one of my friends said

完成后 一個(gè)朋友跟我說(shuō)

This would be a cool black light painting

這幅畫(huà)在黑光下肯定會(huì)很酷

So I started over

于是我重新開(kāi)始

As far as I can tell, it's just about letting the universe know what you want

在我看來(lái) 重要的是 你要讓宇宙知道你想要什么

and working toward it while letting go of how it might come to pass

并為之努力 不要在乎過(guò)程會(huì)有多么艱難

And when I say, "life doesn't happen to you, it happens for you"

我喜歡說(shuō) "生活并不是發(fā)生于你 而是為你發(fā)生"

I really don't know if that's true

我不知道是否真的是這樣

I'm just making a conscious choice

我只是有意識(shí)地作出選擇

to perceive challenges as something beneficial

去將挑戰(zhàn)看作是有益的事情

so that I can deal with them in the most productive way

這樣我就能以最多產(chǎn)的方式處理它們

You'll come up with your own style, that's part of the fun

你們也可以想出自己的風(fēng)格 這也很有樂(lè)趣

Like many of you

和你們很多人一樣

I was concerned about going out in the world and doing something bigger than myself

我很擔(dān)心自己要到外面的世界上 做比自己更大的事情

until someone smarter than myself

直到有一天 一個(gè)比我聰明的人

made me realize that there is nothing bigger than myself

讓我認(rèn)識(shí)到 沒(méi)有什么比我自己更大

You are ready and able to do beautiful things in this world

你們準(zhǔn)備好了 而且有能力在這個(gè)世界上做出美妙事情

and after you walk through those doors today, you will only ever have two choices

今天 通過(guò)這些門(mén)之后 你們只有兩個(gè)選項(xiàng)

love or fear

熱愛(ài) 或是恐懼

Choose love, and don't ever let fear turn you against your playful heart

選擇熱愛(ài) 不要被恐懼嚇得背離了自己所熱愛(ài)的事業(yè)
