如果它沒有立刻實(shí)現(xiàn)
it's only because the universe is so busy fulfilling myorder
那可能是因?yàn)橛钪嫣τ跐M足我的愿望
My father could have been a great comedian
我父親本來有能力當(dāng)一個(gè)偉大的喜劇演員
but he didn't believe that was possible for him
但他認(rèn)為實(shí)現(xiàn)這個(gè)的可能性太渺茫
and so he made a conservative choice
他于是作出保守決定
Instead, he got a safe job as an accountant
獲得了一份會(huì)計(jì)的"安全"工作
and when I was 12 years old
在我12歲那年
he was let go from that safe job
"安全"工作卻讓他失了業(yè)
and our family had to do whatever we could to survive
整個(gè)家庭廢了好大力氣才存活下來
I learned many great lessons from my father
我從父親那里獲得了很多經(jīng)驗(yàn)教訓(xùn)
not the least of which was that you can fail at what you don't want
包括做不想做的事你很有可能會(huì)失敗
so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love
因此 你應(yīng)當(dāng)冒點(diǎn)風(fēng)險(xiǎn) 去做你熱愛的事
I can tell you from experience
我可以從個(gè)人經(jīng)歷出發(fā)告訴你們
the effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is
你能對(duì)他人產(chǎn)生的影響 是世上最有價(jià)值的通貨
And that's when my search for identity deepened
我從這里深化了對(duì)自我的探索
I wondered who I'd be without my fame
我心想 拋開名氣的話 我是誰
Who would I be if I said things that people didn't want to hear
我會(huì)是誰 如果我說的東西人們不想聽
or if I defied their expectations of me?
如果我違背了他們對(duì)我的預(yù)期
What if I showed up to the party without my Mardi Gras mask and
如果我參加派對(duì)不戴嘉年華面具
I refused to flash my breasts for a handful of beads?
拒絕為幾顆珠子閃現(xiàn)我的胸部
I'll give you a moment to wipe that image out of your mind
我給你們一點(diǎn)時(shí)間 把剛才腦海里形成的印象擦除掉
But you guys are way ahead of the game
你們處在問題的最前沿
You already know who you are
你們已經(jīng)知道了自己是誰
and that peace, that peace that we're after
這片平靜 我們追求的平靜
lies somewhere beyond personality
位于名聲之外
Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world
你對(duì)接納的需求能夠讓你在這個(gè)世界變得不可見
Don't let anything stand in the way of the light that shines through this form
不要讓任何東西阻擋這種形式的光所照射的方向
Risk being seen in all of your glory
不要害怕冒險(xiǎn) 去讓你在所有的榮耀中被看到
