地形篇 NO.3：

夫地形者，兵之助也。

料敵制勝，計(jì)險(xiǎn)隘遠(yuǎn)近，上將之道也。

知此而用戰(zhàn)者必勝，不知此而用戰(zhàn)者必?cái)　?/p>

故戰(zhàn)道必勝，主曰無(wú)戰(zhàn)，必戰(zhàn)可也;戰(zhàn)道不勝，主曰必戰(zhàn)，無(wú)戰(zhàn)可也。

故進(jìn)不求名，退不避罪，唯民是保，而利于主，國(guó)之寶也。

這句啥意思：

地形是用兵打仗的輔助條件。

正確判斷敵情，考察地形險(xiǎn)易，計(jì)算道路遠(yuǎn)近，這是高明的將領(lǐng)必須掌握的方法，

懂得這些道理去指揮作戰(zhàn)的，必定能夠勝利;不了解這些道理去指揮作戰(zhàn)的，必定失敗。

所以，根據(jù)分析有必勝把握的，即使國(guó)君主張不打，堅(jiān)持打也是可以的;根據(jù)分析沒(méi)有必勝把握的，即使國(guó)君主張打，不打也是可以的。

所以，戰(zhàn)不謀求勝利的名聲，退不回避失利的罪責(zé)，只求保全百姓，符合國(guó)君利益，這樣的將帥，才是國(guó)家的寶貴財(cái)富。

英文這么說(shuō)：

The natural formation of the country is the soldier's best ally;

But a power of estimating the adversary,of controlling the forces of victory, and of shrewdlycalculating difficulties, dangers and distances,constitutes the test of a great general.

He who knows these things, and in fighting puts his knowledge into practice, will win hisbattles.He who knows them not, nor practices them, will surely be defeated.

If fighting is sure to result in victory,then you must fight, even though the ruler forbid it;iffighting will not result in victory, then you must not fight even at the ruler's bidding.

The general who advances without coveting fame and retreats without fearing disgrace, whoseonly thought is to protect his country and do good service for his sovereign, is the jewel of thekingdom.

地形的重要性
