A: I have heard that you are going to Italy next week. Have you got everything ready?
我聽(tīng)說(shuō)你下周就要去意大利了。都準(zhǔn)備好了嗎?
B: Almost. I have just got my visa from the visa office. It's a totally new type of visa.
差不多了。我剛剛從簽證辦公室拿到了簽證，這是一種全新的簽證。
A: Oh? Why do you say so?
哦?有什么不一樣?
B: It looks like a normal card, but it is intellectual, it has all my information in it. The Italian government can identify all the information about me in this visa.
它看起來(lái)和普通的卡差不多，但它是一張智能簽證，我所有的信息都在里面。意大利政府可以通過(guò)這張簽證來(lái)識(shí)別我的所有信息。
A: So, when you go through the customs you don't have to answer the routine questions because the information about you is in this visa.
所以在你過(guò)海關(guān)的時(shí)候就不必去回答那些例行提問(wèn)了是嗎?因?yàn)橥ㄟ^(guò)這張簽證就可以識(shí)別你所有的信息了。
B: Exactly. Isn't it very convenient?
完全正確。是不是很方便啊?
A: Yes, you are quite right. Nowadays our life is becoming easier and easier due to these great inventions.
是啊，你說(shuō)的很對(duì)。我們的生活由于這些偉大的發(fā)明而變得越來(lái)越輕松。
“due to”意思是“由于……;多虧了……”，例如：Our journey was quite pleasant due to the nice guide. 多虧了那位友善的導(dǎo)游，我們的旅程非常的愉快。
