She is showing her true colors.
她終于原形畢露了。
show one's true color 直譯過來就是：“露出……真正的顏色”。據(jù)說當(dāng)年英國艦隊(duì)航于海上時(shí)，為避開法國逡巡船隊(duì)的注意，就升起法國旗幟偽裝是自家人，等到關(guān)鍵時(shí)刻就改旗易色，顯露本色。于是產(chǎn)生了show one's true colors 這個(gè)習(xí)語，意為“亮出自己的真正旗幟，原形畢露，顯露真面目”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"She is showing her true colors."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"She is unmasked."、"She is showing the cloven hoof."。
