take it in stride 字面意思是：“大步走”，我們可以想象在危機或困難面前，一個人還能大步流星、從容不迫，沒有方寸大亂。這個詞組原本表示“輕而易舉做某事”，冷靜處理某事”的意思，引申為“從容應付，泰然處之”。因此，當美國人說"Take it in stride."時，他/她要表達的意思就是:"Take it easy."、"Don't take ittoo serious."、"Just calm down and don't get anxious."。
