別信口開河了。
shoot from the hip這個(gè)習(xí)語起源于100多年前的美國西部，那個(gè)年代多數(shù)人除了睡覺，腰帶上都插著槍。而那些老練的槍手在急于射擊時(shí)根本不把槍舉到齊肩高來瞄準(zhǔn)，他們拔出手槍在腰下髖關(guān)節(jié)的部位就發(fā)射了?，F(xiàn)在這個(gè)習(xí)語用來表示一個(gè)人在未經(jīng)深思熟慮前就亂說話或采取行動(dòng)，也就是：“信口開河，魯莽行事”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"Don't shoot from your hip."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Don't talk nonsense."、"Don't make irresponsible remarks."。
