look up直譯過來就是：“抬頭看”，這個短語在句中的正確意思是：“改善，好轉(zhuǎn)”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"Things will look up soon."時，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Everything will go well soon."、"Everything is gonna be fine."、"You should be optimistic."。
