give somebody a f air shake 直譯過來就是“給某人一個(gè)公平的搖晃”，這個(gè)短語的真正意思是：“對(duì)……一視同仁”。因此當(dāng)美國人說:"I just want them to give you a fairshake."時(shí)，他要表達(dá)的意思就是："I just want them totreat everyone equally."、"I just wish you weretreated on equal terms with others."。
