127. Student Use of Computers 學(xué)生對(duì)電腦的使用
As can be clearly indicated in the above chart, the average number of hours a student spends on the computer per week has rising at an astonishing speed from the year 1990 to the year 2000.
上表中清楚的顯示出從1990年到2000年的十年中,學(xué)生花在電腦上的周時(shí)數(shù)以驚人的速度在增長。
When we talk about the changes, we have to take the following reasons into account. First of all, with computer becoming cheaper, more students can afford one to assist them in their studies; additionally, the great convenience and capacity of computer is a certain lure for the younger generation.
談及這些變化,我們應(yīng)該考慮以下兩個(gè)原因。首先,電腦的價(jià)格越來越便宜,更多的學(xué)生可以擁有電腦來幫助他們學(xué)習(xí);同時(shí),電腦的方便和無盡的能力對(duì)于年輕學(xué)子來說是一個(gè)很大的吸引。
In spite of all the benefits obtained from computers, many people also complain about their drawbacks, for instance, they are worrying that some kids spend so much time playing computer games; while a technological defect of computer system can be very destructive. But in my opinion, so long as we can make the best use of it, we may obviously find that its advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
盡管電腦帶給人們很多好處,但是很多人也在抱怨它所存在的問題,他們擔(dān)心孩子花太多時(shí)間打電子游戲;而且電腦的技術(shù)故障通常是毀滅性的。但是,在我看來,只要我們能很好地利用電腦,它的優(yōu)點(diǎn)肯定要超出其缺點(diǎn)。
