　　He had spotted a tiny bottle at the bottom of my case and he pounced on it with delight.

　　'Perfume, eh?' he asked sarcastically. 'You should have declared that. Perfume is not exempt from import duty.'

　　'But it isn't perfume,' I said. 'It's hair gel.' Then I added with a smile, 'It's a strange mixture I make myself.'

　　語(yǔ)言點(diǎn):句子結(jié)構(gòu)分析:用bad spotter強(qiáng)調(diào)“從一堆雜物中找到某物”。With delight作pounced on的方式狀語(yǔ)。

　　14. Perfume, eh? he asked sarcastically. You should have declared that. Perfume is not exempt from import duty.

　　“香水，嗯?”他譏諷地說道，“你剛才應(yīng)該申報(bào)，香水要上進(jìn)口稅的。”

　　語(yǔ)言點(diǎn):sarcastically充當(dāng)asked的方式狀語(yǔ)，其后面的內(nèi)容亦為海關(guān)官員所說的話。

　　“不，這不是香水，”我說，“是發(fā)膠。”接著我臉帶微笑補(bǔ)充說：“這是一種我自己配制的奇異的混合物。”
