Lesson 8 The best and the worst

課文內(nèi)容：

Joe Sanders has the most beautiful garden in ourtown. Nearly everybody enters for ‘The NicestGarden Competition' each year, but Joe wins everytime. Bill Frith's garden is larger than Joe's. Billworks harder than Joe and grows more flowersand vegetables, but Joe's garden is moreinteresting. He has made neat paths and hasbuilt a wooden bridge over a pool. I like gardenstoo, but I do not like hard work. Every year I enter for the garden competition too, and Ialways win a little prize for the worst garden in the town!

4.Bill Frith's garden is larger than Joe's.

比爾.弗里斯的花園比喬的花園大。

語言點(diǎn) 比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)一定都是在同類事物間作比較，花園和花園相比，人和人相比。文中是兩個(gè)人的花園作比較，因此than后面應(yīng)用所有格Joe's.

5.Bill works harder than Joe and grows more flowers and vegetables, but Joe's gardenis more interesting.

比爾比喬更加努力地勞作，在花園里種植了很多花草和蔬菜，但是喬的花園卻顯得更有生機(jī)。

語言點(diǎn) 比較學(xué)習(xí)：plant, grow

plant種植(強(qiáng)調(diào)種的動(dòng)作);grow種植(強(qiáng)調(diào)種植以后的栽培、管理過程)

植樹節(jié)翻譯為"Tree Planting Day"最佳。

6.He has made neat paths and has built a wooden bridge over a pool.

他在花園里開辟了一條條整潔的小徑，還在池塘里修建了一座木橋。

語言點(diǎn)1 make a new path修建一條新路=break a new way開辟一條新路=dig a new road挖掘一條新路

語言點(diǎn)2 over的含義是指高于某物但沒有接觸：

flew over a pool從水池上飛過;jump over the little bridge從小橋上跳過
