"No, definitely not," I whispered. I was tremendouslygrateful to Jacob, and eager to make him as happy as possible. I winked at him, carefully turning away from Mike to do so. He smiled, elated by my ineptflirting.

"So when I get my license…" he began.
“那等我拿到駕照以后……”他開口說道。
"You should come see me in Forks. We could hang out sometime." I felt guilty as I said this, knowing that I'd used him. But I really did like Jacob. He was someone I could easily be friends with.
“你一定要來??怂箍次?。我們得找時間聚一下。”當我說這些的時候,我感到一陣內(nèi)疚,知道自己純粹是在利用他。但我真的很喜愛雅克布,他是那種很容易和我成為朋友的人。
Mike had reached us now, with Jessica still a few paces back. I could see his eyes appraising Jacob, and looking satisfied at his obvious youth.
