第10單元 危險(xiǎn)的親密接觸
A guy goes to a barbershop for his weekly shave. While the barber is foaming him up, he mentions the problems he has getting a close shave around the cheeks.
有個(gè)家伙每個(gè)禮拜都會(huì)上理發(fā)店修面。理發(fā)師幫他涂泡沫時(shí)，他問(wèn)怎樣才能把臉頰上的胡子刮得更干凈。
"I have just the thing," says the barber, who goes to his cabinet and comes back with a small rubber ball.
“我有個(gè)好東西，”理發(fā)師邊說(shuō)邊去柜子那里拿了顆小橡膠球出來(lái)：
"Just place this on the inside of your cheek and you should be able to get a closer shave."
“只要把這顆球放進(jìn)臉頰內(nèi)側(cè)，胡子就會(huì)刮得很干凈了。”
The client places the ball in his mouth and the barber proceeds with the closest shave the guyhas ever experienced.
于是這位客人把球放進(jìn)嘴里，理發(fā)師繼續(xù)修面時(shí)，他果然感受到刮胡刀和臉頰前所未有的親密接觸。
After a few strokes the client asks in garbled speech.
刮了幾下后，客人用含糊不清的聲音問(wèn)道：
"And what if I swallow it?"
“如果我不小心吞下去怎么辦?”
"No problem," says the barber.
“沒(méi)關(guān)系，”理發(fā)師說(shuō)。
"Just bring it back tomorrow like everyone else does."
“明天再拿來(lái)就好了，反正別人也都是這樣。”
