英語(yǔ)小達(dá)人每天10分鐘 13 Six Grade Science
Six grade science teacher Mr. Sampson asks his class:
六年級(jí)的自然科學(xué)老師桑普森先生問(wèn)班上同學(xué)：
"Who can tell me which organ of the human body expands to 10 times its usual size whenstimulated?"
“有誰(shuí)可以告訴我，人體哪個(gè)器官受到刺激后，會(huì)比平常大小膨脹十倍?”
Nobaody raises a hand, so he calls on the first student to look his way.
沒(méi)人舉手，于是他就問(wèn)第一個(gè)往他這邊看的學(xué)生：
"Mary, canyou tell me which organ of the human body expands to 10 times its usual size whenstimulated?"
“瑪麗，你可以告訴我人體哪個(gè)器官受到刺激后，會(huì)比平常大小膨脹十倍嗎?”
Mary stands up, blushing furiously."Sir, how dare you ask such a question?" she says."I'm going to complain to my parents, who will complain to the principal, who will have you fired!"
瑪麗站起來(lái)，滿臉通紅地說(shuō)：“老師，你怎么敢問(wèn)這種問(wèn)題?我要去跟我爸媽抱怨，他們就會(huì)向校長(zhǎng)抱怨，然后炒你魷魚!”
Mr. Sampson is shocked by Mary's reaction, but undaunted.He asks the class the question again, and this time Sam raises his hand.
桑普森先生被瑪麗的反應(yīng)嚇了一大跳，但不為所動(dòng)，繼續(xù)問(wèn)班上同學(xué)有誰(shuí)知道答案，這回山姆舉手了。
"Yes, Sam?"says Mr. Sampson. "Sir, the correct answer is the iris of the human eye."
“山姆知道是嗎?”桑普森先生說(shuō)。“老師，正確答案是眼睛的紅膜。”
"Very good, Sam. Thank you."
“很好，山姆。謝謝你。”
Mr. Sampson then turns to Mary and says, "Mary, I have 3 things to tell you: first, it's clear that you have NOT done your homework. Second, you have a dirty mind. And third, I fear one day you are going to be sadly disappionted."
桑普森先生接著轉(zhuǎn)向瑪麗說(shuō)道：“瑪麗，我有三件事要告訴你：第一，很顯然你‘沒(méi)有’做功課;第二，你想‘歪’了;第三，恐怕有一天你會(huì)大失所望。”
