　　1. 解詞釋義

　　The eleventh hour的意思是“在最后的關(guān)鍵時刻，剛好，及時”。其英文解釋為：the latest possibletime。這是個與時間有感的詞語。古時候，猶太人將白晝分為12個小時。根據(jù)圣經(jīng)中的一段故事說：天國里的桃園內(nèi)勞動力十分不足，需要每天從外面公用工人干活，一天之內(nèi)要雇傭三四批。最后一批是11點鐘入桃園的。不過所有雇工的工資卻都在一天的勞動結(jié)束時一起發(fā)放。有個心眼多的人就鉆了這個空子，他每天和最后一批雇工到桃園內(nèi)干活。但是在領(lǐng)工資時，他卻也和其他人一樣得到了全天的工資。所以，便有了“I arrivedat the eleventh hour.”的說法，其意思就是“我及時趕到了。”
