講解：
該習(xí)語(yǔ)的意思是：合某人心愿。此語(yǔ)出自《圣經(jīng)·舊約》中的《撒母耳記》上卷第十三章的第十四節(jié)。撒母耳 Samuel 任以色列術(shù)師 Judge 時(shí)，奉耶和華之命，順從民意，立掃羅 Saul 為王，建立了以色列王國(guó)?？墒菕吡_的所作所為不蒙耶和華的喜悅，其便讓撒母耳再立新王即后來(lái)的大衛(wèi) David. 之前撒母耳對(duì)掃羅說(shuō)：“現(xiàn)在你的王位必不長(zhǎng)久，耶和華已經(jīng)尋著一個(gè)合他心意的人 a man after his heart.”此語(yǔ)就是由此而來(lái)，至今語(yǔ)義不變。
