How can you all say what you mean without being mean? No matter who you are, should always start with soliciting feedback. Don't dish it out before you prove you can take it. You also need to give, and you need to tell people when their work isn't nearly good enough. 

你們怎么才能直言不諱而不刻薄呢？不管你是誰，都應(yīng)該從征求反饋開始。在證明自己可以接受反饋之前，不要隨意發(fā)表意見。你也需要給予，當(dāng)人們的工作還不夠好時(shí)，你需要告訴他們。

I was unwilling to let go of my desire to show that I cared personally, that is what for me gave work meaning, but also had to learn how to challenge directly, and I had to learn how to do both at the same time. 

我不愿意放棄表現(xiàn)出我個人關(guān)心的愿望，這對我來說賦予了工作意義，但也必須學(xué)會如何直接挑戰(zhàn)，我必須學(xué)會如何同時(shí)做到這兩點(diǎn)。

And over time I came to think about caring and challenging at the same time as radical candor. Some of the best relationships of my career have happened with people who I disagree with, and because I care about these people, it's easier for me to challenge them, and because I challenge them it's easier to care. It's a virtuous cycle, radical candor. 

隨著時(shí)間的推移，我開始思考關(guān)心和挑戰(zhàn)與徹底坦誠同時(shí)存在的問題。我職業(yè)生涯中最好的一些關(guān)系都發(fā)生在與我不同意的人之間，因?yàn)槲谊P(guān)心這些人，所以我更容易挑戰(zhàn)他們，因?yàn)槲姨魬?zhàn)他們，所以我更容易關(guān)心他們。這是一個良性循環(huán)，徹底坦誠。

And the reason why it works is that we, both of us, believe that the floor on the care personally dimension of radical candor is respect. Respect is something we owe to everyone. 

它之所以有效，是因?yàn)槲覀儍扇硕枷嘈牛瑥氐滋拐\的個人關(guān)懷維度的底線是尊重。尊重是我們對每個人應(yīng)盡的責(zé)任。

And when we can show respect and common human decency, we actually wind up loving the people who we work with, not in the HR disaster sense of the word that we read so much about today, but in the true sense of collegiality.

當(dāng)我們能夠表現(xiàn)出尊重和基本的人類尊嚴(yán)時(shí)，我們實(shí)際上會愛上與我們一起工作的人，這并不是我們今天經(jīng)常讀到的人力資源災(zāi)難意義上的尊重，而是真正意義上的同事關(guān)系。
