Getting to know your colleague
M: Morning, Lucy. Here I am.
L: Hi, Monica, how are you doing today?
M: Can’t be better! Thank you.
L: Your supervisor, Mr. White was out on a business trip. Let me first introduce you to your colleague, Francis, he is in the next door.
M: Ok.
L: Good morning, Francis, please allow me to introduce Monica to you. She is new in finance department.
F: Hello, Monica. Nice to meet you!
M: Nice to meet you too, Francis.
L: Monica, Francis will talk with you about your job.
認(rèn)識你的同事
M: 早上好，Lucy，我來了。
L: 早，Monica，今天感覺怎樣?
M: 非常好。謝謝
L: 你的上司，懷特先生出差去了。我先給你介紹一下你的同時，F(xiàn)rancis，他在隔壁辦公。
M: 好的
L: 早，F(xiàn)rancis，我來給你介紹一下新同事，Monica。她是財務(wù)部的新員工。
F: 你好，Monica，見到你很開心。
M :Francis，很高興見到你
L: Monica，F(xiàn)rancis會向你介紹你的具體工作。

1.L: Hi, Monica, how are you doing today?
早，Monica，今天感覺怎樣?
How are you doing?
你好嗎?
英語中常見的打招呼用語，如：
-How are you doing?
-I'm doing good.
Doing在這里不是“做什么”的意思，good 這個形容詞也被當(dāng)作副詞用，美國人平常就這么說，相當(dāng)于熟人見面時說：“你怎么樣?”“挺好的。”
類似的問好方式還有：
-How's everything going?
-Howdy!
-What's up?
幾句話都相當(dāng)于“你怎么樣?”“你好嗎?”但如果細(xì)究，第一句似問對方最近一切是否順利;第二句據(jù)說是從How do ye?這句19世紀(jì)初的問候語簡化而來;而第三句則側(cè)重問對方那里有沒有新聞，但實際就是打招呼。
2.L: Your supervisor, Mr. White was out on a business trip.
你的上司，懷特先生出差去了。

如：The supervisor always start his new employee on the lobster shift.
領(lǐng)導(dǎo)總是讓剛開始工作的新職員值夜班。

作為她二年來的直接領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，我可以說她是一位優(yōu)秀的秘書。
