6月8日是世界海洋日，世界各國(guó)都會(huì)舉行活動(dòng)慶祝。今年中國(guó)世界海洋日的活動(dòng)主題是：“保護(hù)海洋生物多樣性，人與自然和諧共生”。為了給子孫后代留下一片碧海藍(lán)天，中國(guó)高度重視海洋生態(tài)文明建設(shè)，持續(xù)加強(qiáng)海洋環(huán)境污染防治，保護(hù)海洋生物多樣性。
Countries across the world will observe World Oceans Day on June 8. In China, this year's World Oceans Day will be marked with a focus on protecting marine biodiversity and raising public awareness on the harmonious coexistence between humankind and nature. China has made strides in the conservation of marine ecology, prevention and treatment of marine pollution and protection of marine biodiversity, in a bid to leave a clean marine environment to the world's future generations.

2021年6月8日是第十三個(gè)“世界海洋日”和第十四個(gè)“全國(guó)海洋宣傳日”。海洋與人類的命運(yùn)息息相關(guān)，她孕育和守護(hù)萬(wàn)千物種，為人類文明的可持續(xù)發(fā)展提供資源。
我國(guó)是世界上海洋生物多樣性最為豐富的國(guó)家之一，我國(guó)已記錄海洋生物2.8萬(wàn)多種，約占全球海洋物種數(shù)的13%，位居世界第三位。海洋生物多樣性是人類生存和發(fā)展的重要保障之一，不僅能為人類提供大量的食品、藥品和工業(yè)原料，而且在氣候調(diào)節(jié)、二氧化碳源匯調(diào)控、物種基因資源等方面對(duì)維護(hù)整個(gè)地球生物圈的生態(tài)平衡起著至關(guān)重要的作用。
近年來(lái)，我國(guó)加強(qiáng)海洋生態(tài)保護(hù)和修復(fù)，海洋生物多樣性的保護(hù)工作取得了積極成效。我國(guó)陸續(xù)開展了沿海防護(hù)林、濱海濕地修復(fù)、紅樹林保護(hù)、岸線整治修復(fù)、海島保護(hù)、海灣綜合整治等工作，局部海域生態(tài)環(huán)境得到改善，紅樹林、珊瑚礁、海草床、鹽沼等典型生境退化趨勢(shì)初步遏制，近岸海域生態(tài)狀況總體呈現(xiàn)趨穩(wěn)向好態(tài)勢(shì)。
