5月26日，國家主席習(xí)近平向世界環(huán)境司法大會致賀信。習(xí)近平指出，中國愿同世界各國、國際組織攜手合作，共同推進全球生態(tài)環(huán)境治理。
President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the World Judicial Conference on Environment on May 26, saying that China stands ready to cooperate with other countries and international organizations to jointly promote global ecological and environmental governance.

2021年5月26日，世界環(huán)境司法大會在云南省昆明市開幕，主題為“發(fā)揮司法作用　促進生態(tài)文明：共建地球生命共同體”。
近年來，中國加快推進生態(tài)文明頂層設(shè)計和制度體系建設(shè)，特別是憲法修正案將新發(fā)展理念、生態(tài)文明建設(shè)和建設(shè)美麗中國的要求寫入憲法，生態(tài)環(huán)境保護在經(jīng)濟社會發(fā)展全局中的地位不斷提升。習(xí)近平主席在2020年12月舉行的氣候雄心峰會講話中專門提到，中國歷來重信守諾，將以新發(fā)展理念為引領(lǐng)，在推動高質(zhì)量發(fā)展中促進經(jīng)濟社會發(fā)展全面綠色轉(zhuǎn)型，腳踏實地落實承諾的目標。
2020年9月，中國宣布，將提高國家自主貢獻力度，力爭2030年前二氧化碳排放達到峰值，努力爭取2060年前實現(xiàn)碳中和。2020年12月，中國進一步宣布：到2030年，中國單位國內(nèi)生產(chǎn)總值二氧化碳排放將比2005年下降65%以上，非化石能源占一次能源消費比重將達到25%左右，森林蓄積量將比2005年增加60億立方米，風電、太陽能發(fā)電總裝機容量將達到12億千瓦以上。
