1945年9月2日，日本政府簽署投降書(shū)，中國(guó)人民抗日戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)暨世界反法西斯戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)正式宣告勝利結(jié)束。在那場(chǎng)曾遍及亞洲、歐洲、非洲、大洋洲的戰(zhàn)役中，軍隊(duì)和民眾傷亡超過(guò)1億人，其中中國(guó)傷亡人數(shù)超過(guò)3500萬(wàn)。

中國(guó)人民十四年的抗戰(zhàn)，在世界反法西斯戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)中開(kāi)始時(shí)間最早、持續(xù)時(shí)間最長(zhǎng)，在中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨倡導(dǎo)建立的抗日民族統(tǒng)一戰(zhàn)線旗幟下，中國(guó)人民以巨大的民族犧牲支撐起東方主戰(zhàn)場(chǎng)，為世界反法西斯戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)勝利作出了重大貢獻(xiàn)。

China and Russia, respectively the main battlefield in Asia and Europe, endured great national sacrifices for and made indelible historic contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War.
