中共中央總書記、國家主席、中央軍委主席習近平8月26日向中國人民警察隊伍授旗并致訓詞。他指出，我國人民警察為維護國家安全、社會穩(wěn)定、人民利益作出了重大貢獻。實踐證明，我國人民警察是一支黨和人民完全可以信賴的有堅強戰(zhàn)斗力的隊伍。

President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, on August 26 conferred the police flag on China's police force. Addressing the ceremony, Xi lauded the major contributions made by the Chinese police to safeguarding national security, social stability and people's interests, calling them a mighty force that can be fully trusted by the Party and the people.

經(jīng)黨中央批準，中國人民警察警旗式樣確定。警旗旗面由紅藍兩色組成，紅色為主色調(diào)，長方形，警徽居旗幟左上角。紅色體現(xiàn)黨對人民警察隊伍的絕對領導、全面領導，彰顯人民警察隊伍絕對忠誠、絕對純潔、絕對可靠的政治本色;藍色凸顯人民警察的職業(yè)特征，代表人民警察對平安的守護。

在中國人民警察警旗授旗儀式上，習近平強調(diào)，我國人民警察是國家重要的治安行政和刑事司法力量，主要任務是維護國家安全，維護社會治安秩序，保護公民人身安全、人身自由、合法財產(chǎn)，保護公共財產(chǎn)，預防、制止、懲治違法犯罪。習近平對人民警察隊伍提出4點要求，一是對黨忠誠，二是服務人民，三是執(zhí)法公正，四是紀律嚴明。

新的歷史條件下，我國人民警察要對黨忠誠、服務人民、執(zhí)法公正、紀律嚴明，全心全意為增強人民群眾獲得感、幸福感、安全感而努力工作，堅決完成黨和人民賦予的使命任務。

Under the new historical conditions, the people's police must be loyal to the Party, serve the people and be impartial in law enforcement and strict in discipline. They should work wholeheartedly to strengthen people's sense of fulfillment, happiness and security, and be determined to fulfill the missions and tasks entrusted to them by the Party and the people.
