天津危險(xiǎn)品倉(cāng)庫(kù)爆炸

An explosion ripped through a warehouse storing "dangerous goods" in north China's Tianjin City late Wednesday night.

周三(8月12日)深夜，天津一處存放“危險(xiǎn)品”的倉(cāng)庫(kù)發(fā)生爆炸。

The first explosion at about 23:30 (15:30 GMT) on Wednesday was followed by another seconds later. Shockwaves were felt several kilometres away.

第一次爆炸發(fā)生在夜間23:30，幾秒鐘之后發(fā)生第二次爆炸。幾公里之外都能感受到爆炸產(chǎn)生的沖擊波。

The China Earthquake Networks Centre said the magnitude of the first explosion was the equivalent of detonating three tons of TNT, while the second was the equivalent of 21 tons of the explosive.

中國(guó)地震臺(tái)網(wǎng)表示，第一次爆炸的強(qiáng)度相當(dāng)于引爆了3噸TNT炸藥，而第二次的則相當(dāng)于21噸TNT炸藥。

TNT當(dāng)量(TNT equivalent)是指核爆炸(nuclear explosion)時(shí)所釋放的能量相當(dāng)于多少噸TNT炸藥爆炸所釋放的能量。TNT炸藥的數(shù)量又被使用作為能量單位，每公斤可產(chǎn)生420萬焦耳的能量，1噸TNT相等于4.2千兆焦耳，一百萬噸相等于4200兆兆焦耳，通常也作為核武器爆炸當(dāng)量的單位來使用。

英語中最常用來表示“爆炸”的名詞是explosion和blast，如果要表達(dá)“引爆炸彈”則可以用detonate a bomb, set off a bomb或者ignite a bomb表示。
