一、主語

1.名詞作主語

Pride goes before a fall.驕必敗。

Little streams feed big rivers.小河流入大江。

2.代詞作主語

He told a joke but it fell flat.他說了個笑話，但沒有引人發(fā)笑。

All of the students are interested in it.所有的學(xué)生對此都很感興趣。

3.數(shù)詞作主語

Twenty years is a short time in history.二十年在歷史上只是很短的一段時間。

Two-thirds of the students are boys in our school.我們學(xué)校三分之二的學(xué)生是男生。

4.名詞化形容詞作主語

The poor get poorer；the rich get richer.窮者愈窮；富者愈富。

The idle are forced to work.懶漢被迫勞動。

5.不定式作主語

To hesitate means failure.猶豫不決就意味著失敗。

For him to admit his mistakes is not easy.要他承認錯誤是不容易的。

6.動名詞作主語

Watching a film is his hobby.看電影是他的愛好。

Swimming in this river is a great pleasure.在這條河里游泳是非?？鞓返氖隆?/p>

7.從句作主語

What we shall do next is not yet decided.下一步做什么還沒有決定。

Whether they would support us was a problem.他們是否會支持我們還是一個問題。
