過(guò)去分詞作定語(yǔ)的位置

1.單個(gè)過(guò)去分詞

（1）作定語(yǔ)時(shí)一般置于被修飾詞之前。

We need more qualified teachers.我們需要更多合格的教師。

We will meet at a given time.我們將在指定的時(shí)間見(jiàn)面。

This is a used cellphone.這是一部舊手機(jī)。

（2）left表示“剩下的”作定語(yǔ)時(shí)也可后置。

The book left are for my students.剩余的書(shū)是給我學(xué)生的。

There is no more time left.沒(méi)有時(shí)間了。

（3）only，very，the first，the last等詞修飾名詞時(shí)，過(guò)去分詞作定語(yǔ)要后置。

That is the very thing wanted.那正是所需要的東西。

This is the only machine required.這是唯一需要的機(jī)器。

（4）修飾復(fù)合代詞或指示代詞those時(shí)，過(guò)去分詞作定語(yǔ)要后置。

Is there anything unsolved？ 還有沒(méi)有未解決的問(wèn)題？

He is one of those invited.他是那些被邀請(qǐng)的人之一。

2.過(guò)去分詞短語(yǔ)

（1）過(guò)去分詞短語(yǔ)作定語(yǔ)時(shí)要后置。

He is a teacher respected by the students.他是一個(gè)受學(xué)生尊敬的老師。

The bridge built last month needs repairing.上個(gè)月建造的那座橋需要修理。

（2）過(guò)去分詞作定語(yǔ)時(shí)相當(dāng)于定語(yǔ)從句。

This will be the best novel of its kind ever written.

this will be the best novel of its kind that has ever been written.

這將是這類(lèi)小說(shuō)中寫(xiě)得最好的。

Most of the people invited to the party were my old friends.

most of the people who had been invited to the party were my old friends.

大多數(shù)被邀請(qǐng)參加聚會(huì)的人都是我的老朋友。
